At the 25th World Congress of Psychiatry (WCP 2025), a peer-reviewed abstract entitled
“Virtual Patients in Psychiatry: A Conversational AI Platform for Simulation-Based Medical Training” was presented.
A conversational AI platform for psychiatry education was developed to simulate diagnostic interviews with virtual patients in a safe, scalable, and pedagogically structured environment. The system incorporates clinically derived patient profiles and enables voice interaction, diagnostic assessment, and ethical feedback. Initial testing demonstrated high realism, improved student confidence, and cost-effectiveness, suggesting strong potential for integration into psychiatric training curricula.
